Aggie Seabotix
Our team is tasked with deciding on thruster design and mounting. After collaboration, we decided the most efficient design consisted of six T100 Thrusters, from BlueRobotics. Two thrusters were placed on top of the ROV for vertical movement and mounted orthogonally to provide vertical stability. Four thrusters were mounted at 45 degree angles on the frame for horizontal movement. This design allows our ROV to operate with more planes of motion due to the 45 degrees that can thrust in either direction. Thus enabling movement in any horizontal plane that is needed to complete a task.
We are the muscle of the ROV. Our team provides the means for movement of the robot underwater.
